The tour started at the train station in Dunderlandsdalen and ended at Jonsbakken in Sulitjelma. 17

Seventeenth June were getting me out on an adventure with a content I did not know the extent of the advance. When Jonsbakken was reached and the air was filled bad idea t shirts with a quiet celebration with clenched fists, I had put behind me 170 kilometers, filled with joy, jubilation, bad idea t shirts sweat and tears, not so much a battle against the miles, but a struggle to overcome myself .
In this blog series I will take you on my hardships on this seventeen days long journey through some of the wildest areas. You will hear open and honest about the ups, downs, learning and reflection. Where appropriate, I will merge into quotes from the log or diary if you will, that I used to process thoughts along the way. Why do I write this? Partly for themselves - a reflection and processing of experiences along the way. Partly in an indecisive attempt to inspire others to get out of the urban landscape, to realize dreams bad idea t shirts and experience what life has to offer outside your comfort zone.
The tour started at the train station in Dunderlandsdalen and ended at Jonsbakken in Sulitjelma. 170 km through forests, mountains in any weather. Following bad idea t shirts advice from experienced mountaineers to the route laid on the way, which made our trip was shorter than previously thought. This and by listening to the not-so-experienced mountaineers I calculated the trip to be five to six mil longer than the actual reality. In total, these decision around seven to eight mil. The consequence of this I had to literally carry on your shoulders throughout the entire trip. Food stocks were estimated to hold for thirty days, and weighed in total around fifteen to sixteen pounds. I had ten bags Lofoten fish soup, where I was to get the fish themselves along for the ride. The task of calculating food for a month-long expedition is challenging in itself. Especially when I had opportunities for replenishment process. By calculating bad idea t shirts 100 grams mistakes every day, I end up carrying three kilograms bad idea t shirts too much in the bag, which will degrade the experience along the way.
On the train to Dunder valley I was in very good spirits and the mood was great. Test trip with the bag had to be successful. However, the trip was conducted on a good path in flat terrain, which gave me a false and short-lived, but nevertheless useful confidence before the first leg. The bag weighed now a total of 38 pounds. On the scale after the expedition backpack was reduced to 27 kg. Most of the packing list was used along the way, as I'm not very proud of afterwards. Just hand open Lano was thrown along the way, actually in the first week - something my medbusspassasjerer the ride home could benefit from. Hand booze disappeared, into the cylinder head, the first day. Saved weight is earned weight.
I was pig lucky and got a ride four of the seven kilometers in to the national park. The weather gods were with me and presented me with sunny skies. First stop fabled Stormdalen. Why do they call it the wonder? The aim was to fit within the first week. Snuggle up with short legs, eat backpack bad idea t shirts lighter and body recover between bad idea t shirts sessions of the machinery was running. How would however not work in practice. In a desire to reach well into the park first day I tilbakela eight kilometers within 2h 45m. During the first 200 height is arrived lactic acid and breathing difficulties at regular intervals. I pushed on and eventually reached a picturesque headland next to the still liquid Stormdalssoga. From here you can see far into the valley. The river winds its way down the valley, before ending up in Stormdalsfossen. In 1953, it set out the trout in the river, and it was not long before the fish began to thrive. Rumour has it that the biggest fish taken here weighs in at three kg. In the distance you can make out what is probably one time was part of Svartisen, but is now reduced to bluish snowdrifts in the mountains. Fishing, or fisherman, the poor first night.
Day 1: "Surprisingly easy to walk, despite the heavy bag. Very sore hip party owned. Well with tranquility and peace. Falling asleep to the sound of drizzle towards the tent and the roar of the waterfall in the ground. Good to think that this will be my life for thirty days. PS. Extract rubbing alcohol in a waterproof bag, should have screw caps. " bad idea t shirts
Day 2: Today is the day of rest. It will be used to explore Stormdalen and fished in the river. The river looks amazing great - the water is mirror bright with good visibility. bad idea t shirts Several times I see the fish stand in the river, but the lure will not have. I wake up early because of tropehete the tent. Twenty degrees already at 08:00. Rice porridge with a lump of butter, and raisins for breakfast - luxury! Day trip backpack filled with food and equipment. Unsuccessfully fisherman bad idea t shirts myself west of the valley. The goal today is idyllic Stormdalsgården Lars Iversen built around 1852. Here he settled, in mil from the nearest neighbor. Six mil was the nearest shop. He was driven walls and artisan and built himself a small farm at the head of Stormdalen. Here he cleared land and married Karen from Bredekgården. It's hard to imagine the struggles they must have pierced
