Yoko Ono said recently "Energy sub so Important, trickers os You do not have it, do not bother with rock and roll". Fair enough, true enough, but what exactly is the "energy" in the context of Rock'n roll, what exactly does Yoko about? I agree and Yoko by the way, agree 100% and more, even if I'm not sure how she defines "energy" and I would love to give her this CD, 'Songs of Protest' and say " Which ones go on wedyn Yoko oes it, never mind the Language, trickers just listen trickers to the vibes? trickers "
What is the difference between such 'energy' and 'passion', and, can sing protest songs without energy or passion or both? On the other hand, there is no energy to point something worth saying? Is it possible to make a political point with voice / voices nice nice, rinki-Tink piano and clarinets and without any hint of energy? More questions than answers ..... maybe ....... trickers this is a musically diverse collection but some link in terms of the message
It is a strange thing, and the above discussion is relevant, because popular music / Pop Welsh is rooted in protest songs, then certainly the period at the end of the 60s, painted road signs, and the catalyst Investiture '69 large, long shadow of influence, cold water Tryweryn '65

Maybe the A best example on the CD of singer who can not sing and as a result would undermine the message of Hergest by vocalist is on "Come to the courts". Then the piano's rinki-Tink on some of the songs is enough for me threatening to speak English for a weekend in protest. I almost cried on and Yoko, "I'm Going to speak English for a weekend mp and protest art instillation kind of thing
It became a lifeline. Here are spitting out words. Thankfully. That is needed on this CD, passion and energy is what a few of us, "NCB" by Fearless Mice, "Wales., trickers England and Llanrwst" The Body, at least someone will believe that these are serious. 'NCB' is mostly raw in the Welsh Language, which can reflect the culture and industry of the Valleys, Swansea Valley colliery and the future of free weithdra or uncertainty on the best charity. And the bodies, well then the lads know what non tune, Track 1, Side 1 deserved.
Maybe Edward H who deserves the real credit trickers for that transition, that they who give the "Rock'n roll" into the World Pop Welsh and with "Summer House" though it is the satirical It does not band by sliding down the slippery slope from there and turn that into rinki-Tink-style jazz or whatever too many artists take on this CD. Luckily Edward H as the Depot Purple raw, it suits the message.
In terms of "cool" starring with Jarman's "Missionaries of Hate" and no doubt the credibility and Maffia Mr Huws lying in the same bed. "Well I shall not be in part" by the Mafia, and a hundred other tune and message and somehow one sees the development of H by Edward Jarman and forward to Maffia
- They are all with something to say but I think Yoko would agree that they have the energy and passion as well. Maybe dylia Audio has provided the Rock'n roll stuff more stuff on one CD and the CD light on another?
Another question that must be asked is where the young artists? Now, this conclusion is accepted it, which has to be Audio tracks for each other that already exist to create this CD but they have a new young contemporary artists somewhere on chance or Rasal Seaweed is there not, but they sing songs efallainad protest? trickers
I need another one-word lines here Strummer "Why not phone up Dyl Mei and gofynnaf him for Some Good Quotation". I do not know if young artists Sound sing protest songs, do not ask
