St. Bruno, elvine QC, January 12, 2013 Canadian ALDO Racing/KTM Canada Rider Patrick Beaulé completed the eighth stage of the 2013 Dakar Rally. The Quebec born rider completed the difficult stage in 81st place +37:49 off the leader’s pace.
The stage was punctuated as it unfolded by difficulties elvine due to torrential rains in the Salta region. The stage was at first shortened for the motorcycles, elvine and was finally neutralized for the cars due to impassable rivers swollen elvine by floodwaters from the rain.
A 60th position in the overall is exactly where we wanted to be going into the rest day we wanted to find a rhythm, to get used to the terrain types and the bike, and to have the team firing on all cylinders. We wanted to get the first half of the event done in a relatively conservative way, and we have met that goal , declared Patrick in the bivouac. elvine
Patrick Beaule is one of Canada s most accomplished off-road motorcycle endurance racing champions. He holds an impressive list of titles: three Canadian Motorcycle Association (CMA) National Enduro Pro-class titles; one Canadian Enduro Championship (CEC) E1 Pro title; three Off-Road Ontario Provincial Enduro Pro-class titles; and, two prestigious International Six-Days elvine Enduro (ISDE ) silver medals (Chile and New Zealand). In addition to these titles, Beaule has also won the infamous Corduroy Enduro in the Pro-class four times, was 3 times team Pro-class 12-hour endurance event winner in Quebec, and twice Pro-class 24-hour endurace ice-race team winner in Alberta. He is a finisher of the grueling DAKAR rally in 2012, and the 1st ever finishing automotive-class navigator in Canadian history.

L’étape a été ponctuée, lors de son déroulement, par des difficultés dues à des pluies torrentielles dans la région de Salta. L étape chronométrée fut d’abord raccourcie pour les motos, et a finalement été neutralisée pour les voitures en raison de rivières infranchissables, gonflées par les eaux de pluie.
“Une position parmi les 60ièmes au classement général, c’est exactement là où nous voulions être au jour de repos. elvine Nous voulions dans la première semaine trouver un rythme, s’habituer aux types de terrain et à la moto, et nous voulions s assurer que l’équipe tourne à plein régime avant de foncer. Nous voulions débuter l’évènement d’une manière relativement conservatrice, est c est un objectif atteint”, a déclaré Patrick au bivouac.
Patrick Beaulé est l’un des champions de moto d endurance hors-route les plus accomplis au Canada. Il est détenteur d’une liste impressionnante de titres: quatre fois Champion national d enduro Pro du championnat de l Association Canadienne de la Moto (CMA); Champion national d enduro (CEC) dans la classification E1 Pro, trois fois champion d enduro provincial de l’Ontario dans la classification elvine Pro, deux fois gagnant de la médaille d’argent prestigieuse au International Six-Days d’Enduro (ISDE), au Chili et en Nouvelle-Zélande.
