When and how did you discover G-Star? This was at a skate shop when I was quite young, so about 15 My first purchase was a jacket and I wore it until it was torn at the elbows.

I was never particularly brand-conscious, but I like quite subtle and unique details that emphasize my personality. Also, I like to wear clothes that are stiff and tough that can withstand a lot, is durable and developed its own character over time. The music stands with me in the first place, followed by all the other things like fashion. Fashion is a natural part of me, not something I think about too much. All I know is when I do not like something and when. And I'm not into too much color in my clothes.
It was easy and fun. I just sat around with the designers and we went through all the ideas I had. I tried to change the G-Star Elwood so that they would even fit me best.
The Illwood paris fashion week 2012 is somewhat minimalist, dark, blacker and more elegant. I've added in some places leather applications and have scribbled even the inside of the jeans with drawings of strange creatures.
Their creativity goes beyond the world of music: you have direct influence in regard to all of your artistic aspects - design, video, packaging and aesthetics in general. If you could do something other than a pair of jeans for G-Star design what would be your wish?
