The celebration of Christmas today is closely linked to the Christian religion, but has its roots in pagan worship of East and Egypt, the Roman world was integral. Everyone knows that the Gospels do not specify the exact date of the birth of Jesus Christ, and that which is held on December 25 responds to a convention later. The Catholic Church adopted many elements of pagan religions that were part of the common cultural background. new look sale Reinterpretation of the symbols and myths of these cults was a way to spread Christianity too without altering the customs and images of society.

This date was adopted by all countries of the West. In the East, some churches come to accept it; others, such as Armenians, still prefer the 6 January to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
